Maybe a Miami Vice style look with rolled up jacket sleeves?
I spent most of the 80’s dressed like that complete with white espadrilles with no socks! St Albans wasn’t Miami but I still managed to “pull” a few times at Batchwood Hall nightclub and only had a Marcos vs a Daytona, but it worked for me. I loved those years! 83114

Thanks for all the nice comments about my car gents. Its one of the good ones (obviously I'm biased!) I've loved my 4.5 years with the car but it's time for something new; my first Maserati, I've definitely got the bug and may very well come back to the fold one day.

My detailer does them, cleans them out and then uses a red enamel paint carefully applied. Like a red nail polish really.
HA! snap. tiny tin of red humbrol enamel from model shop. It did cross my mind to try nail varnish, but got distracted and never went further than the nail salon?

Small world.....I visited Batchwood Hall plenty of times when far younger than I am now! Wasn't it called Kiss @
Batchwood then?

Used to play golf there a bit as well.

It was like a rite of passage getting refused entry by the bouncers.

3 of us blokes drove up to Paradise Lost in Watford and because they often stopped groups of blokes we split up in the queue.

The bouncers used to ask silly questions and asked me where I came from (Barnet then, about 20 miles away) and how I got there. I said car and he asked to see the keys. I wasn’t driving and my mate who was the driver was now inside so I produced my house keys. The smart a.se bouncer said “ what’s that then you drive, a Front Door 2000?” and sent me packing.

This is long before mobile phones so I had no choice but to get a train from Watford into Euston and then the Tube back home. I remember it 40 years later but wasn’t funny at the time

LOL.....Paradise Lost....you must be a couple of years older than me as my older sister went there. It had changed to Destiny by then.

I remember being the alloted driver one night and driving home in the snow round the Watford one way system on the inside lane hitting some black ice. Took foot off pedals and proceeded to slide across each of the 3 or 4 lanes getting closer to the outer barrier slowly. Nudged the kerb at 1mph finally back on the gas and drove back fine

Barnet....I was Oakwood. Where did you go to school? I had the pleasure of a quality education at Southgate School.

Church Hill JMI as I lived opposite Oak Hill Park in East Barnet and then secondary at Woodhouse in North Finchley. If you were Southgate then the big school around there was Ashmole. Southgate girls school was a honey pot for us teenage lads!

I know it. I played Sunday league football for Wroxham Park for a few years whose home ground was Oak Hill Park.

Played at Woodhouse in a school football final. I had friends at Ashmole as well. We had a real mix bag at Southgate. Certainly a school of less and not so much education.

Spent a lot of time at Automation in Barnet over the years and MiniSpares in Friern Barnet. Although they are Potters Bar now.

Played a couple of times at Underhill, Barnet many years ago.

We are Bell Bar now nr Welham Green/Brookmans Park.

Whilst you lot have been harking back to suspect teenage shenanigans it seems the car has been sold. Less than a week, and even with the lack of red paint on the front trident!

Did look a lovely car, and as the saying goes ‘find another’ in that classy spec.

No surprise there. V rare and stunning - particularly the interior.
