I note that ADG have lowered the price of most of their stock this week...are prices falling or are they hitting a natural balance as stock ages?

Think its just ADG not shifting stock.....a good GS is still over 30k while average is 23-29k

Just my opinion but sadly for me not coming down

That sounds about right. When you buy a car you pay through the nose and when you sell you get next to nothing!

Gransport prices fluctuate quite a lot, due partly to limited supply. However, personally I think that ADG over-purchased a few months back.. they snapped up at least 3 private sale cars that I'm aware of within a couple of weeks of each other, and possibly just have too much stock now. A few of the GS have come down by £2000 (£1000 a few weeks back and another £1000 in the last day or two).

That just shows how much MD's are having people over ! when reducing by those amounts.

Hows the aston going??

Really pleased with it Dem! Beautifully built with lots of lovely design touches, low slung, quite a bit wider (but also shorter) than the Maser, superbly accomplished on the road and sounds amazing. Obviously a significant price hike from the 3200, but in a different league - much as I love 3200s. Not many up here either, so keeps the rarity factor.

ADG have always discounted their cars over time.....The black with red interior GS they paid hardly anything for and at 25k they still have a healthy profit in there I would say.....The car was up private for 21k.....They started at 27995.......

Nige, stunning as I sound before......Love the low slung driving position and the high side window line when sat in the car...Glad you are pleased mate......PLease feel free to post some pictures if you get time.

Do you mean the one I nearly bought? That was £23k - still a bit of margin, but not quite as much!

I don't agree with you Dem. A genuine, sensible mileage, good spec Gransport can now be bought for mid to late 20's, (ADG have a 56 reg LE at £25k) the biggest factor, IMHO, is driven by colour scheme i.e a black with a light interior appears to be the most popular combination and consequently are bought and sold very quickly. There are cars for sale in the mid to late 30's which frankly are, compared to entry level Granturismos, hugely overpriced. They are very different cars but I believe that general perception is that the Granturismo represents much better value at the circa 40k mark

I think in future selling a granturismo will be harder than selling a GS!

The GS is rare and accomplished whereas the GT, well, nothing wrong with it but they went and brought out the GTS which is the car it should have been in the first place....

You may be right and good Gransports are become quite rare, however, can you ever envisage a Granturismo being cheaper than a Gransport?

I have been harping on about this for a year or so but the general consensus is against us V. Only time will tell but I am sticking to my original feeling as are you.

Gransport is smaller and sportier. The Granturismo except for the hardcore GTS feels more like an S class Mercedes. Gransport are far rarer and I believe will eventually eclipse the standard Granturismo which in London at least is a really common site on the roads

See what I mean V.

It's like saying a 3.2 GTV will be worth more than a Brera, because it has the Arese V6. It never happened.

The GT has a decades worth more development.

For me, which is the better car, I believe the GS is, but we are a small minority and I recon the masses will vote with their wallets.

Fairpoint Urbanmaser, the Gransport is smaller and arguably more of a "drivers car", however, in terms of perceived value, it's impossible to get away from the fact that the Gransport is the last reincarnation of a 2001 4200 albeit with a few cosmetic and mechanical tweaks. The Granturismo on the other hand and one of the many reasons why you'll see more on the roads in London is it's a current model, better build, more user friendly, a stand alone model with the latest technology and more recently carried an 85k+ price tag. With this in mind my earlier point was that to spend mid to late 30's on a Gransport was folly as you can get a Granturismo for the same money, simples!
