Can anyone recommend a warm water power washer that will suit cleaning the cars and bikes one which you can get
additional attachments for, need to replace our 20 year old cold water one

Thanks

Kranzle if you don't mind spending a few quid, brass fittings and built to last with spares available

I've got a karcher that was £400 in 1990 and still going strong because it's all metal , the consumer karchers are all plastic now

My plastic impeller Karcher gave up the ghost this summer. I had it 8 years and it cost £40. I went out and bought another for...£40

Can't complain really.

Think my new one is a K2. All the attachments and the trolley fitted from the busted one too.

The cheap karchers only take water up to 40c , the more expensive ones go up to 60c though I don't think I've ever struggled to remove anything with cold water ,the dirtblaster Lance makes a big difference with its cone jet

I bought a karcher K2 T50 when focus diy went bump. So its about 7 years old now. Still going strong and karcher spares are easy to get. 40 degrees max water temp but as per previous post they shift everything. You can find the same kit from £60 to £90 depending where you buy it from.

Nilfisk don't use plastic - I'm happy with mine, better than the karcher stuff I've used before. I thought about Kranzle, the price was in another league and based on how often I use it and what for, I really couldn't justify it.

So is Nilfisk better than Karcher? They seem to have an outlet store too
Eb

Its likely model dependant as to what will come out best. The gadget show did a comparison on a nilfisk, bosch and karcher power washers and if i remember right they tried to match a model from each on power and a price. They then tested them against each other on like for like scenarios.

1st was karcher ( good all rounder and value for money)

2nd was Bosch ( very good but lost out on price and lost the power lance attachment test)

3rd was Nilfisk ( over priced and only came 2nd or 3rd in the tests)

Its 2 or 3 years ago but it should still be on the gadget show website. Im pretty sure the results were as above.

Nilfisk for me with lance attachment for snow foam etc...

Ditto. Nilfisk have metal impeller and I've been using mine with a waterbutt for ages without issue. Get a snowfoam lance and you are set.
If money is no object or it is your job then Kranzle, otherwise Nilfisk seems better than the Kracher stuff I've used before.
All IMHO

Interestingly the Kacher and Nilfisk 'outlet' stores are run by the same company, JMS Group. So if anyone will know which is best it'll be those people.

Personally I don't think you can go wrong, do you buy a Miele washing machine knowing that it should last more than ten years or a cheap one knowing that it'll break down in five but you've only spent a tenth of the price.

My Karcher only broke because I used it to jet wash the whole house rendering...it was on the go for 2 days solid. Being 8 years old already, couldn't complain for the £40 I paid for it.
