Positive clutch reading

Just received my car (4200 facelift) back from Bowker maserati after it's 68500mile service. I was pleasantly informed that my clutch reading was 6.9% and the car was in very good shape. It only needs the holes drilling out in the brake discs and a steering gaiter.

The clutch had been done at 54k by autoshield and I bought the car, from Richard Grace, in March 14 with 59700miles.

The 4200 is my only car and I have driven in auto mode in Edinburgh including lots of traffic jams, comfort mode on motorways and in the rain, sports mode everywhere else including various road trips where it has been worked hard, and visits to the local shops. As per the manual, I keep my foot where it is and do not lift off whilst changing gear.

It just goes to show that you can use the Masser everyday in all modes, have a reliable car and only have a small amount of clutch ware.

I look forward to the next 10k of motoring in the gorgeous 4200 :)

Nice to hear, you've done a few miles in the 4-5 months since you bought it.

That's brilliant! I'm not at all convinced these cars wear clutches significantly worse than any other similarly powerful car. Very glad to hear you are continuing to enjoy it on a daily basis.

I've seen the book, with all the journeys recorded!

Just dug out my service history. I've done 15k miles give or take on a new clutch. Hopefully Voicey's box of magic will tell me what the wear is on that :)
