Portable Car Port

Moving to a new house which has a huge yard / garden with side access from the road, the house had an asbestos laced garage which has had to be ripped down so now I'm left with loads of space which is fantastic for parking!

I don't want to build a garage but instead I'm considering getting a portable car port type cover for my 4200??

Something like this...

Anybody else use??

Hmm... I think it is a case of you get what you pay for, these very cheap ones are not good when it gets windy and you wouldn't want the prize possession damaged by a collapsed frame!

The yard master looks very good but if you want to try a PVC variant, I have just put one up from dancover.com which I'm very happy with so far

Agree with Newton and Roger. The cheap one wont be stable in wind and the cover will start to break down within 18 months. If you dont want to build a garage go with the yard master.

Some of the Dan cover tents actually look pretty sturdy it doesn't have to last me!

I'm not sure how long I'll be at this house as my work can change

I knocked this up over a couple of weekends - it's a glorified shed but very sturdy and will last a good few years if painted every couple of years. Wood is from B&Q and would cost you about £300

That was my initial thought too.

a small hobby perhaps! At least it doesn't get in the way, i think my lawn mower is bigger than that.

It's got 4 proper seats unlike the 3/4200 and I'm uprating it from 17hp to 23hp so should be nearly as many bhp/ton as the old 3200... - Vroom Vroom!!! :saifi:
