I'm going to be leftfield, Alfa Mito. They're not bad cars. I'm not into softroaders at all, whenever I see one I keep distance as they're usual driven by those of little confidence and they need the extra crumple zones.

Dem - my wife has a Mini Copper convertible that she uses most days for shopping trips, lunches, school run etc. and it fits the bill nicely. Neither of us are fans of the bigger models, but the normal Mini is stylish. And when she needs more space she can take the Rangie. (Or the QP is she asks nicely!)

Ewan, how could you let your lovely wife drive around in something so common!

We have a Mini well the wife does and it's too small as our family runner so I decided to let her keep that as her fun shopping car and ordered the QQ in Tekna spec. The spec list will leave any new car look under specced, it truly is amazing the amount of kit you get on it. 1.5DCi returns me 64mpg so the fuel savings will make up for running an old Pug....

the diesel in the Qashqai is better.....
I told her I want her to go for the Volvo or the Qashqai and not the mini but she hit me with "im in love" and also "you should know how that feels as you love the Maserati"

she made a point, we now have 1 child, she feels its her last chance to be in something sporty but practical, when the other baby comes, or if, then we can go bigger like a Volvo.......

Charlotte has a 2003 Mini one...she loves it and after 12 years its still only done 40k and serviced by BMW every year...will put on here is she ever sells as it would make a perfect run about or first car.

She wanted a practical, stylish, convertible run-about and she come up with this. I was happy to go along. A little while before she tried the 4200 Spyder for a bit, but the wobbly chassis and slow gear change scuppered that. She loves the QP and wishes (like me) I'd not sold our Khamsin, but that's it on the Maser front. She particularly dislikes my Cup and Shamal - in fact, she thinks I've bough two identical cars!
