Taken when used as Grooms car for my best mates wedding last year - rain fell down ALL day! I drove - he is not that good a mate even after a 30 year friendship

Hi Outrun, unfortunately back home now, perhaps meet up on a later excursion north of the border.

Roger without doubt your car is The best GS I've ever seen - it must turn heads like they're going out of fashion!

Thanks Simon and others for the positive comments, much appreciated.

It was pretty standard when I got it but did have xenon headlights and rear parking sensors. I added cruise control which I use a lot.

The interior has the tech cloth but I think in one of the better combinations;

Nice one.
You must be the guy who modified QP wheels to fit the different PCD and offset on the 32/42/GS...tell us more, can't be easy, my calculations say that simple bolted hub adapters can't be used due the extreem offset differences...or can they?!
Boomerang rear lights, again tell us more! (look like the bolt in kit available to you in Australia)
Cheers.

Hi Mike

I sent my car to AutoRacingTechnik Australia got get everything done ( wheel upgrade, 3200 tail light conversion, ECU remap, red seat belt, Carbon fiber paddle shift and Carbon Fiber sill Panel). I still waiting for them to make me spoiler for my 3200 bootlid and big brake upgrade.
Basically, they modified the wheel, so I didn't use an adapter or anything (if u want i can take a photo closer for u so i can see it more clear), i just need to change the wheel bolt, if I'm not wrong, I use a longer wheel bolt, I suppose to change my rear tire but i decide to use my GS rear tire, I need bigger tires for the rear. My quartoportte wheel fits nicely no problem at all, even when i turn full lock and full load ( 4 passengers and full of my stuff in the boot) :)
The 3200 conversation direct bolt on. Even me not a mechanic, I only need 30 to 60 minutes to return it to GS light and bootlid at home. Everything really straight forward with their kit. The 3200 conversation kits are available in Australia.

Thanks Alvin, must be a major re-machining job for the wheels, they look good!
AutoRacingTechnik are looking to supply the UK market with their boomerang conversion, especially as the bits originate from car breakers in the UK I believe!

It isn't a major re-machining Mike. They only change the PCD on the wheel, the offset and rest still original Quartoportte except the PCD

I can see now if no hub adapter, by my calculations taking into account the wider rims of the QP, your front rims will stick out 10mm and your rear rims stick out 15mm more than stock GS rims. So no more than stock GS rims and typical wheel spacers.
The problem if you don't change the wheel PCD and use hub adapters instead, they would stick out too far by the thickness of the hub adapter, min 20mm.
Incidentally, although the GranTurismo has the same PCD as the QP, the rear wheels have a much more aggressive offset, so would be problem even if the PCD is changed.
I would be interested in how they change the PCD of the QP wheels, I assume re-drill, and fill the old redundant holes?

yes, they re-drill the hole and put the metal insert, so its stronger than the original one. Because the wheel bolt sitting in the metal insert not the alloy.
