A few years ago workshops were throwing them out because all you use know is a diagnostic device.Sun tester on the left.
In August 1967 the Gillette company and the Daily Mirror organised a competition called “The Big Dig” where a lucky 100 people got to dig for boxes containing £60k worth of prizes on Camber Sands! Amongst the prizes were a Chris Craft motor boat, a silver Maserati, a round the world tour, a central heating system(!?), a silver E Type or one of ten silver Mini Coopers! This one was won by a Mr Cooper (true!) who kept it all his life, passed it to his daughter and then moved to France where it now resides with its current owner! Due to be restored soon the owner is looking for owners of any of the other ten Gillette Mini Coopers!

I know that very parking place. It's my town. It still looks the same now as it did in the 70's. T&J Owen are still flogging flowersLove the 70's fashions View attachment 88244
Thornbury a nice little place off the A38 that was just after finishing a local Enduro on the side of the M5 motorway and going to get something to eat after fighting with my 450 mud plugger a few years ago now.I know that very parking place.

You're right it is closed in the High Street and will stay that way, much to the disgust of most residents & traders. The particular parking area that started this little dialogue remains unchanged. Not heard of the driver driving into the florist though... I've been here 40 years and not heard that one.Thornbury high Street is pedestrianised now (For COVID) but is planned to stay the same in the future.
Was that the same florist where the guy drove his car into to kill himself and the woman who worked there?
Apparently works great on Aston Martin tyres mate
