That’s lovely. It’s got a bit of Lotus Elite going on…!

Built by an old school compatriot of mine. (Not mechanically I don’t mean. He resurrected the Connaught name and tried to get an EU grant to start a factory in Wales.) Came to nothing in the end though, after a handful of prototypes. It's on the Green theme.
Meet the Connaught type D V10 hybrid the best car never made in Britain. It’s 2.0 ltr V10 weighs less than a 1.3, 4 cylinder block and is capable of revving up to 10,000 rpm.
Despite it being a v10 the cylinders v pattern is 22.5 degrees so it only has one cylinder block so it is a V10 R in reality. It is supercharged and placed in a space frame chassis. The engine is so good with the hybrid system it will set off in 5th gear and continue on to 170mphView attachment 124846.
Pure 100% class
I‘m not sure the EU would have designated Surrey as an area of deprivation and high unemployment, deserving of being awarded funding!I don't agree with resurrecting old names unless you have a direct connection with it. Anyway, Connaught should be built in Send, Surrey. Their site still exists as the name of the a new build office building here.

Wife's been digging in the garden and found this. Asked me if there was anything I could do with it?

Even on Easter Sunday, think God might struggle bringing this back to life!
