I can remember the first time I was at the helm of a 40,000 tonne vessel doing my steering ticket under pilot up the Delaware river , awesome feeling of power and controlOh to be in control of those throttle slides

Ive heard a few roar , and the last one flying I believe around Althorp somewhere , gave me a great lunchtime display whilst taking a smoko some years back , It was actually thundering quite close and you could smell the burnt fuel in the air as it pulled to gain heightConcorde was good, but it took a lot to beat a Vulcan.
Had a few of them some good some bad , including an absolute mint 72 series 3 124 sport , fantastic bit of kit and wish i had it now ...do they love that high rev bandAlways loved the elegant simplicity of the Pininfarina designed and built FIAT 124 Spider...

That was a fair few years ago when XH 558 did a farewell tour; we saw it at Middle Wallop.
