What does this even mean, they might've been speeding but we couldn't prosecute so we gave them a section 59 instead, or the pcso saw them overtake and didn't like it so called for backup

It can't have been anything to do with overtaking the bike too close or they'd be prosecuting.

I'd be pulling them up to have a look at the car

I've been in that situation
Last year, first trip out in the motorhome , got a mile , alternator went

The advantage of using the same garage for many years and building up a relationship with them is they will help you out

Got it back by 2pm , only lost 6 hours
Forgot you had a shed on wheels plenty of those on the road over here :)
No I would always go the extra mile for regular good customers especially if they are bearing cakes, beer or wine ;)

I bring biscuits, and if it's hot a case of water from costco which I fill their fridge up with.

Don't do many miles and only missed two services doing 9,000 miles now needs a new engine you can understand now.

A friends daughter bought a mini from new with a service plan which she thought would be an annual service , when 2 years had gone by she contacted the dealer to be told they wouldn't service it until the computer told them to, so she got the oil changed outside of the dealer network and her dad checked it over

it was just short of 3 years when it came up to service it

The prince engine in minis is known to be problematic in later life, maybe if they'd changed the oil annually they'd be better , as my mechanic says, the cheapest mechanic in the world is a gallon of oil so it baffles me why manufacturers don't want their dealership workshops full of cars on PCP being serviced
