Through his work connections my father had a Betamax before they even went on sale - sadly lost in a loft fire……. But having a video recorder back in the mid 1970’s was mind blowing for neighbours- rental market didn’t exist of course.

Not car related I’m afraid, but this is the best pic I took today. Lovely seafood chowder lunch out with the Wests in Llangranog. Shame the lovely little boys we used to take every Christmas Eve are now huge hungry teenagers.

A much misunderstood brand are Triumph, I was watching a Gerry Marshall film on YouTube and he raves about the Dolomite Sprints. They dominated late 70s touring car racing, fending off BMW 635 etc.How much Fun would this be

Although it looks like it has some cooling issues and needs a bit of sorting it's a cracking Q-car, and it just looks 'right'. Finished at £4.5k with the reserve 'nearly met'.How much Fun would this be

I owned two series 3 XJ6 back around 2005 when they were seriously cheap to buy at that time.
