The boys done good!

They did - the Chinook display was probably more impressive.
The Typhoon...... very loud, very fast, shame about a 600mph speed limit. The sound of twin jet exhausts on reheat bouncing off the sea and buildings sends a shiver down my spine.

I was at Biggin Hill over the weekend. The Typhoon and F-16 were highlights for me and it must be a Maserati thing - you can keep your wing walkers, WWII re-enactments and stunt planes, I just want something that's fast and BLOODY LOUD.

The reaction of my four year old son when the F-16 flew past for the first time was absolutely priceless....

Same as by 4 year old grandson and his 2 year old brother!
A V12 Merlin is close!
Wing walking was dangerous when you could actually fall off!

You'll need a time machine for a proper air show , mildenhall in the 80s was fantastic , FF to 7:30 , I think that lightning scorched some eyebrows on the flight line

Though I disagree on the WW2 aircraft, nothing sounds better than a Spitfire at full throttle

Agree Wack, but even better an Anzani on one of the Shuttleworth Collection, accompanied by a whiff of Castor oil, better still, my Lycoming happy, strong and beating evenly in front of me in a Robin.

Memorable were the 5 Harriers, lined up in front of me, bowing in unison. The ground thumped in response.

Used to get our private air show on a daily basis as an apprentice at Dunsfold, a remarkable aircraft.
Then much later in life seeing the fruits of my labour delivering some good news to the Taliban, whilst I stood and watched

Just watched that video when we had a proper air show with more than 1 aircraft!
The fuel bill must have been horrific!

I hope there's no speed bumps on the way

I was thinking of going to a Pistonheads barge meet, similar thing but without the Graff connection
