When he was driving the Saudia Williams in 1980 I bought one of those Saudia ear protectors at the Dutch GP - to this day my 87 year old dad still wears it when mowing his lawn on the tractor. Even the plastic was made to last in those days….Alan Jones' car was known for its infamous Durex sponsorship which led the BBC refusing to cover F1 races during the season!
