There are definitely some that exist around Rome but they’ve been maintained. The Romans maintained their roads and had engineers.

What it should read is “then accountants arrived”

What would the daily mail say if we paid for road maintenance instead of giving nurses a pay rise? Most A and B roads were laid in the post war years and have not been done since, they’re 70 years old.

No one will own up after Benny's attack it's a bit like being back at school in the 70's :)
Just need to have a look at Mary Millington in a copy of Whitehouse or Lovebirds now.

Ahh.... hedge pooorn, Chinese burns, brown Cortinas and Pans People on the box.... ;)
Do you mind....I had a brown Cortina 1.6GL. Bought it off my Dad in 1981..cracking car but a bit grim on the style front mind you. Had lovely dark brown velour seats and headrests cos it was a GL! Used to drive around in winter with two concrete blocks in the boot so I could get a grip in the ice and snow.

Come to think about it, my Dad seemed to like Brown cars; had a Roman Bronze coloured Capri 1.6GL with beige seats ( but no headrests..). Happy days camping in the Blackforrest with this car.
