Of course it hasn't been in a garage all year, it's German! Despite your efforts to Frankenstein it with your strap-on fripperies, it's still a bloody cabbage crate*.
Happily, the Aston is here and in good form. It's various challenges with steamed up headlights, clutch, random squeaking and paintwork bubbling have all been dealt with under warranty and without argument. Those chaps at Aston know a thing or two about customer service, that's for sure. Whilst a cynic might suggest that's because they get lots of practice, I've been the happy beneficiary of much excellent coffee and a few decent loan cars for piling the miles on.
*with apologies to all Germans for the crass and baseless suggestion that all German-built forms of transport are designed to transport das kraut hither and thither.
