If that’s directed at me, nothing snide about my opinion on 2 seat Strads and not directed at anyone either. Cars are very personal and my opinion is that the whole motorsport derived thing is really bad. It doesn’t work for road cars and filters down so that even a 316i is ridiculously uncomfortable.
I sold my M3 after 6 months coz I thought it was sh!t, yep might lap the Nurbergring in under 8 secs but it’s nasty on a round trip to Ludlow. I own two race cars and they’re both sh!t.
Ewan’s Strad is the sort of thing I’d dribble over then convince myself it’s what I wanted coz the motoring press says I should and once bought really regret it. It’s taken me a few sh!t cars in a row to realise that. Basically I’ve got old and grumpy and want an automatic GC to waft down to the south of France whilst hogging the outside lane.
I do sort of agree with you there , I really liked the mustang for a lot of reasons but it was quite a hard ride , they're definitely built to a price , it can all be sorted with aftermarket parts though
However, since I bought the very cheap E280 it's made me realise I don't really like sporty cars unless they're sporty , as in go where you point them with total confidence and they don't try and kill you if you put your foot down
This E280 is the best £3000 I've ever spent on a car
If I lost the use of the LH side of my body I could still drive it , only indicating would be a problem but as it's German thats optional anyway.
