Which pads did you buy? Sometimes the the aluminium in the calipers corrodes and expands which prevents the pads from fitting correctly

Very sorry if I caused any confusion here, I meant to say shoes not pads. The pads I have just had fitted based on SM advice and part numbers, fitted perfectly. But the shoes had the locating pin holes in the wrong place and were much wider. As I said above, got the correct ones from Eurospares in 24 hours, so right now I also have one of the few 4200 with a hand brake ! New discs fitted and an MOT for 12 more months. I was also lucky to get a rear shock within 24 hours, so very happy. Just need to get the damage corrected that was caused while in for the service, not a major deal in the big picture of life.
