That's just being a tit. Not really anything to do with a loud pipe or not. It would be unpleasant revving the tits off anything outside anyone's house with a stock exhaust.

C

I live amongst such bell ends... There was three but the main instigator has thankfully moved away, he had a collection of motorbikes that he would fire up during the middle of the day and rev endlessly for about 2 hours then put them away... Right in earshot of my home office. When he would come back from his pleasure rides he would red line the engine 6-10 times before switching the bike off - I am glad they moved away as I was about to complain to the council after asking him countless times to be more courteous to his neighbours - there are plenty of us with loud toys in the neighborhood that can act responsibly.

Anyway this guy caused a lot more bad behaviour I guess in retaliation but it was really just making the situation worse, it has settled down a lot since they moved away but my immediate next door neighbor still has a screamer pipe on his fatboy bike, I'm glad the weather has got bad again as he was taking it to work and he does shifts starting at 5.30am

I'm sure the asbo bikers love reading this aggro, I frankly can't care - good luck staying upright out there in the jungle, I notice the roads have got particularly treacherous over the last 2 years, rather you than me!!

I'm inclined to think that Lambo fuckwits* in west London are heavily to blame here. No one wants a bunch of pricks thrashing their cars up and down a residential street at all hours, even petrolheads. I love the sound of a loud car, but there's a time and a place. Occasional is fine (all things are noisy occasionally) but when it's incessant it needs dealing with.

*other fuckwits are available
This is the difference between 'Petrolheads' and 'Boy Racers' I think!

When I lived in chilworth in the Surrey hills, there was a similar bloke who'd get his bikes out, start them up and ride them round the cul-de-sac for an hour or so. No helmet either. ( We had a very convenient loop, similar to Mallory Park in the street) . He had about ten bikes in a standard garage. (Some packaging)
I spoke to him Mike (the bike) . Lovely fella, in his 80's and all the bikes are old British types. Crobber, crobber, crobber

Sure but 130db is a bit unnecessary - also what safety are bikers achieving by revving the tits out of their bikes with modified exhausts in front of their own houses?

With pleasure

Can’t quite make 130db but 127 is not far off, that’s 1200cc, 2 cylinders and full Termi system
That is almost at full chat so for a V twin 10000rpm is about it’s limit - in 6th gear that’s about 175mph so not very practical round Guildford!
In contrast my 3200 was only 120db but surprisingly when that goes up tbe bypass you can’t hear it - the bike yes, you can hear every gear change and the pops on the downshift and overrun don’t know why.
