FWIW, Ãœber Means above or over in German. In this context it probably means very.

I took this one for a drive and can vouch it is a good one.

It was on at £33,000 before and they told me they turned down a trade-in offer of £28k from a dealer. Despite having admitted that fact they still wouldn't discuss the low thirties with me. It seems like now they will.

The car is pretty much as described. She is indeed a fastidious owner and even goes to HR Owen to have the washer fluid topped up. They haven't prepared it for sale so it has a couple of scuffs on the rims and couple of rough edges on the doors where they hit walls when opened. There is one tear in the rear centre console where it's been kicked. Other than that it is perfect and serviced on the dot by HR Owen. Tyres were okay, I didn't measure them but they had a bit of life remaining. Brake pads looked a bit low.

Silly silly people, they wouldn't discuss price with me. I would happily have paid £28,500 and I would have had an '08 ZF car and they could have had a sale six months ago.

If anyone is interested I have the HPI check.

Why didn't I pursue it? Well, in the end I wasn't terribly impressed with the ZF box if truth be told. It felt a lot more sluggish than the Duo Selects I had tried.

Michael - v useful post. It's a shame they wouldn't discuss price - there was obviously a deal that could have been mutually beneficial.

Garages regularly turn down prices which are more than what cars eventually sell for. Frustrating I know.

Thing is it they had only just got the car when you saw it then 28k would have seem to low to take...Now they have had it for 6 months they probably want ro get rid...

from my limited experience, most QPs are posted at unrealistically high initial prices which puts people off from making an offer even. Some dealers (e.g. ADG) seem to be pitching their prices much more realistically recently, whilst others seem not to care (e.g. Nuvola, Auotoffficina).
