good price for what looks like a good car. funny, they may be in the minority but manual owners seem to love them

Mine was great, was on the factory clutch when I sold it at nearly 50,000 miles. Agree about the grey but if people want a facelift manual 4200 then it's hard to be fussy about colour schemes.

I'm all for teach on car and liked the SMG box on my M5 but can't beat a manual imo. The 3200 manual takes alot to drive it smoothly but once you get the hang of it things just feel right. The manual 3200 and 4200 will be the ones which are sought after in the future.

Horses for courses, I wouldn't have a manual. The changes are a bit clunky and rather dated.

Isn't the CC a bit like that as well though...I like the CC but it is now very old tech and always found it to a very lazy gearbox even when new against others...Think it was because you it was a long pull on the paddles where as some I drove back then it was a very short pull on the paddles before the gears engaged......I'm not having a go by the way as I would have one but just an observation.

Would agree on the manual on a 3200......For me it was the only gear box on that car and I would still not entertain an Auto.....but I understand why more Auto's sold due to the nature of a 3200..

I had my 3200 back in the day but I never felt that the manual gearbox was the weak link. For me it was over light steering and then the throttle.

I tried to like the CC in the 4200 and drove a load of cars on road and track in the south and then a couple when I moved up here but I could never get on with it. Despite open roads, my test drive in an SMG M5 lasted a very short while. Obviously not the gearbox for me!

Ok i went and looked at this car as the owner told me it was that good that he would pay my petrol to get there if i didn't buy it, lets just say his description is slightly incorrect, he had the car up for £17500, originally. I didn't even drive the car in the end, and he didn't pay for my petrol.

If anyone is interested in looking at this one PM me and i will reveal what i found.

cheers Kev.

You forgot to mention how much you loved the grey interior and that's what almost swung it for you :))
