Yep total lovely and would have been mine if....XENONs....why are they so few and far between given it was a top of the range car.

Oh well the search continues.

Quick on that one Simon! I only listed at 1115, lovely condition though, and Avorio is very rare on 4200's and does contrast really well with the Nettuno.

Sorry about the Xenons Pete, or it'd not have reached listing in the first place as you know.

It is a bit weird that Xenons were not a standard fit, you do need to see where you are going at the high speeds these cars are capable of..!!

Less than half of facelift 4200's and Gransports have xenons, staggering really. As a dealer of used ones, it's great to find xenons fitted, things like coloured calipers, grilles, wheels, reversing sensors, stereos etc can all be retro-fitted but not so xenons. They can be done, but not cost effective, it's a £2k job.

Guys , to convert to Maserati xenons it very expensive just the head lights are over £2400 .
So my advice if the car hasn't got them on just don't retro fit .

When I looked at a car with the same combo last year I remember Dicky telling me that there were only a scarce handful of Facelift models in Nettuno with Avorio in the UK (2005/06 cars). And I think (but could be wrong..) that this is the first I've seen since May...

Dicky I'm sure you're correct me if this is wrong... :)

Pete the lack of Xenons will always be a deal breaker then for you?

I know all bells & whistles is preferred, but that combo sings for me. But if you're hearts set on a car with Xenons then it's worth waiting for.

If you get the high output white headlamp bulbs, they are close to Xenons and they are only on the dip beam, fulls are all the same..!!

Sadly it is a deal breaker and even worse, one that cant be retrofitted unlike all the other bits I would like. Down to an issue that afflicted me just after I bought my first Maserati...and brought it home to me that you only live once.

4200 face lift or GS.
Not silver
Low mileage
in very good condition.
4200 Will have to be adapted with GS stuff and exhaust. ..in fact just like my second one.
perfect car would be a GT but tbey are just too much at the mo.

Apart from the exhaust, whatelse are you going to take from the GS Pete?

Your wish-list is very similar to what mine was.

To fit a GS front splitter. Lower to 50% GS ride hight. Rear spoiler. ..I did see one in your colour that had GS front seats, for sale in the New Forest...but thats long gone.
maybe GS rear boxes if I can get them and an X pipe.

Sad fact is that I had almost all I wanted on Maser #2 but circumstance forced me to sell last year.

Sounds good Pete, those changes will bring it closer to the GS spec. But if you were to go to all that trouble would it be worth waiting for a GS itself?

Does changing the rear boxes on a 4200 to GS rears make much of a difference? Apart from the tail pipes being slightly different, is the GS rear box different in shape/internals to a 4200 rear box? I know they do sound a little better/more purposeful, but I've always assumed that is down to the whole exhaust system and not the rears alone.?
