I chased 2, the white one with 25k miles with the MC stickers I could of had for £65k when it was for sale by the private owner and there was another white one, lower spec, I agreed £63k on but he fannied me about with the PX on my GS so it didn't happen.

As I said, this was all around the time the announcement was made back in the early summer and people panicked.

I do really like the look of the one at Lancaster Maserati but at £75k, all I can do is look at the moment. The series 1 are becoming rarer, as owners are holding onto them (and rightly so). Not sure if I want a 4 seater Strad and don't want to compromise when I'm spending that kind of money.

Are you selling then?

Why is the chauffeur so tiny, and sitting in the back? :)

Matt, if there was one out there at that money, I'd have bought it already. The only one that is close to £60k is the white with the decals, and it's been on sale for quite some time, so there must be something wrong with it for it not to have sold by now.

The next best is £75k (at Lancaster and one at Amari), both look great but £10k over my current budget. After these two, you're looking at the 4 seaters.

Not sure if there is anything wrong with white one but the two seater does seem to take an age to sell. All the ones currently for sale have been for sale for ages. But I think that a 60k one has long ten unless it's leggy.

Possibly Dave, depending on what I find next.

The heart says 'no, keep it' but the head says 'get a Stradale'. Phil's constant gushing over his GT makes me think that a GT is the way to go.

If Ferrari won't let Maserati have its duel clutch gearbox why would it let them have the La Ferrari?...its not like they own Maserati like last time and as they are now a floated Co. it makes little sense to let someone have your core-de-force?

Yet they use Ferrari engine blocks etc in the QP GTS V8 and Ghibli V6 lumps. Don't forget the MC-12 was effectively an Enzo clone.

I've no interest in a silly La Ferrari clone but bear in mind Ferrari make the GranTurismo engine and body shell - and paint it - so there is lots of involvement. Then with the modern cars they make the V6 and V8 petrol engines. Good business for Ferrari. Personally I am happy with the ZF auto gearboxes as they suit the Maserati brand positioning IMHO.

That is my thinking as well. My 4200 is a keeper & having a QP inspected Monday so fingers crossed; ;) That is a nice set up then with QP as daily and the Coupe as the occasional special journey.
