Newbie in Cheshire

Hi Guys

Just joined so hello to all.

I have only had my CC Coupe for 3 months - just starting to get the hang of it.

They are a bit qwerky, but that's part of the appeal- I just love it.

I drove it seriously for the first time last night - turned onto a Cheshire country road behind a Carrera 4S Turbo and he started to play, so I felt obliged to show him some Italian class.

After a superb 3 mile blatt of crawling all over him - the Maser had it on everything, power handling and brakes, we pulled up side by side at the main road tee junction and had that look at each other........ then both burst out laughing.Two 50 year olds behaving like schoolboys!

Despite the Maser being faster, we had both won. Two fabulous motors doing exactly what they were designed for, grinned like a ******* all the way home then!

Good job my wife wasn't with me, she would have taken it off me!!!

It's 100 miles south of us here in the frozen midlands!!!

lovely colour, just the one I wanted but could not find. We had a meet in rugby a couple of weeks back and looking to do it again mid September. The next meet will be auto italia at gaydon which is about 90 miles from you. Have a look on the tread and come along if you can. I don't think we have car in your colour.

We've only had 2 Midlands meets so far - everyone seemed to be down south. The north bit got tagged on as anything in the Midlands is quite 'North' to some. As there are a number of members further up country perhaps another regional venue could be set up. Fancy the job?

Perhaps, for those that might partake, - how about the Knutsford area - and even that's in the south if you live in Carlisle!

Gary we did a spring/early summer run to Cumbria this year and may do the same next year.

Two nights at a nice pub and some nice meals out as well as the obligotory run in the cars.
