HI and thanks for allowing me to join this forum. I have had a 2005 Quattroporte for nearly 3 yeas but have not been driving it much. I plan to drive it more often and do as much of the maintenance and repairs myself in my onw private little workshop which fortunately has a hoist. Already done my first oil and Filter change (used Amsoil signature 0W40 before seeking too much advice) and seems to be running well. I have the occasional F1 transmission hiccups like rough downshifting and occasionally skipping from 6 to N when downshifting but then fine for a few days after that. I used to have Jaguars and Daimlers and I am used to quirky cars even though they did not have as many "electronics" as this one. Mos of my car collection is made up of 1960s and 1970's Australian Build Fords and a couple of older Mustangs and Ford Capris/ MX5 recently Purchased too. First one. So I look forward to reading the new threads and learning more about the Maserati. Oh, and I am an Australian born Italian ..both parents being Italian ! Cheers

Welcome to the forum.
You will be forgiven for not driving it the last 3 years especially the last two for obvious reasons. These cars need driving, consider that as maintenance too, things loosen up and work better the more you drive them.
The next obvious questions are pictures, people always want to see pictures...
As for being an Australian born Italian , don't worry we have many different sorts here, all perfectly acceptable. Scottish born italians, Scottish Born Australians, English born Welshmen too...

Singaporean born Englishmen. At least most of us acknowledge our true nationality!

Welcome, thrice welcome. Come on in, the insanity is lovely

Welcome indeed. That’s a nice looking QP you have there. If you have a car lift, you are halfway there. :)

Goodness me. How can you possibly hold off driving something as gorgeous as this for three years?
You're made of stronger stuff than me.
Living overseas until 2 years ago, Covid lockdowns one after the other and 14 other cars to choose from
