Welcome. What colour scheme have you gone for?

I would strongly advise nose film as these cars pick up loads of stone damage.

Thanks - Grigio Granito with Bianco Pregiato (off-white). Interior color wasnt my first choice but the deal on offer swung it for me. Will make a nice change after years of driving in black leather coal holes.

Nose film - interesting you say that. I've heard different views on whether they pick up chips or not. Is the nose film invisible? would be a shame to spoil the lines of this beauty. Would you recommend fitting at main agent or elsewhere?

I think it may be quite a bit less than that! :)

The sound is addictive

Gary

Mrs L reckons I might make it to the first junction........."mirror - signal - sport button - manouvre"

Excitement reaching fever pitch - looking like I can pick it up a week early. It could be mine on Sunday!

I've been blessed to own many amazing cars over the years - porsche's, m5, and the best so far a jag xfr - but in 30 years of driving I have never been so excited about picking up a new motor............this really is bringing out the kid in me.

thanks for the tip. believe me I will be driving this baby very carefully indeed!

It all depends what you are used to driving. Sport is great as it firms up the suspension and opens the valves in the exhaust - although you may tire of this in some circumstances - but Maserati do not adequately explain how much it changes the stability control, great in the dry as it allows slip on acceleration etc but can be interesting in the wet.

Thanks for that. I got vague responses when I quizzed on what the sport button does - "makes the noise better" was the general theme.

I've driven a Jag xfr for the last couple of years (510bhp / 460lb ft) - similar story with its "dynamic mode". In the dry it tightens up suspension, throttle and steering. In the wet its "fish tail" mode. though jaguar swear it doesnt affect traction / stability control.........................

Lets hope the sun is shining and the roads are dry this weekend!
