A couple of things to think about gents.
The vehicles that have been doing the rounds are pre-production cars. So obviously the specs are subject to change. The cars that have been on display are the basic cars, is that not a good idea as when we are stating the starting price to customers of under £49000 it is actually the car that is in front of you.
Remember these are not marketing cars, but pre-production items.
I have been lucky enough to see the planned marketing campaigns, due November, and the cars do look much more agressive and appealing.
This in my opinion, coming from a Mercedes background, has been thought out well, we have both maintenance and complete finance packages available.
Maserati have spent a lot of time and planning in the future of the brand in the Ghibli, QP and Levante. We are aware we will struggle to survive on less than 300 new registrations last year(and this was a good year). The current Maserati vehicles are a very niche market and the new Ghibli and Levante are a step towards a new sector in the market place.
It never will compete the the 'rep mobile' market and it isnt trying to.
The market is aimed towards the lucky individuals that can afford to run Mercedes CLS, Audi A7, etc, but want something different and to stand out from the crowd.
"The absolute opposite of ordinary"
You all have far more experience in the brand than I have, but what we have at Bowker Maserati is an extensive background and experience of how the german manufactures run and market this sector.
What I am trying to say is this is going to be an amazing journey for the Maserati brand, we will make some mistakes, but we will also make a lot of people very happy!
