Good to hear people's opinions on this. I think my usual advice to myself would be to walk away!
But in this case I've got a good chance to get the car sorted at a really good price and deal with the service book later. The dealer has sent me scans of all the receipts and a screenshot of the ecu and it shows its due a service, so what we've agreed is that I'll take the car if he gives it a full service and also order a book to the garage thatll have the last stamp. I'll then send it to maserati for the other stamps. I called maserati and they said this is fine. From my point of view the service is most important and expensive and I don't fancy waiting ages for a stamped book, I'd rather take this deal now and go for a spin down to the maserati garage on a few weekends
So it's due the 4th service. I managed to find a 2008 (prefacelift) zf user manual that lists all the usual service items and fluid replacements, filters and aux belt replacement. It doesn't mention anything about transmission fluid replacement. What else needs changing on a duoselect on the 4th service? It's been over 2yrs although only 6k miles since the last one.
