New British sourced back boxes for Maserati 3200GT

It was only a matter of time.

Having produced many exhausts for MGs like this ...



OK they won't look like these as that's for another application, but
I am going to send my exhausts off to get a pair of copies made which will be to my normal spec.
304 stainless, Mandrill bent, Straight-through (so suitably loud) simple fit, good looking and strong. 4 exits as standard

I think these cars should be louder than many are and often they are pretty quiet.
I have the Eurospares system on my car which is OK but not really loud enough for my tastes.
Systems on the market are "reassuringly" expensive so I expect to undercut those prices significantly.

Just had the quote from the manufacturer.
Jigs are needed so I need a min quantity of 5 pairs :-/

Neil, some of the aftermarket pipes like QS and Larini's spoil the look of the quad pipes imo. I like the OEM quad look but that is just my opinion...

Ovals are simpler and cheaper to make! They're probably purer and fractionally better for performance too.
But when these people charge you the best part of a grand you want it just right!

marci has a stainless backbox system, not straight through mind. I quite like the deep burble from it and that it is not as "in your face" as a larini system but would be interested to hear the difference and if the straight through back section kept the system legal.

Loud but legal

Straight through systems generally have a deeper sound than chambered systems
