one more question, in the specs list posted by Andy it states:

F1 CC six speed transmission - 35% quicker than the Coupe CC.

Would this be 35% quicker than the 4200 or were there some software upgrades to the box in the MCV making it faster?

Cheers for all the advice in this thread.

The box is the same as a GS.....On the sec sheet for the standard GS and the MCV its says the gear box is 35% quicker than the Coupe CC...So noth the same...

I suspect the logistics will be wrong Mondie, as I'm on holiday in Cornwall at the moment, but otherwise if you're anywhere near me you're welcome to a drive in mine. If you have until the weekend and are within striking distance of Loughborough I'm happy to drive over?.....

Morning Fella's

I wish I was in Cornwall Miles :) Thats our favourite place in the UK and St Ives is constantly calling our name, but alas for now we live in Aberdeen so about as far from you as its possible to get:frown: Otherwise I would have taken you up on your kind offer.

Thanks for the clarification on the gearbox, its what I suspected, a faster gearbox would have been a major feature of these cars if true. Still haven't made a decision but will do so soon before its gone.

Cheers

Morning Mondie, Aberdeen, ah yes that would be a trek! :D Chilling in Polperro for the week. Haven't been down this neck of the woods in a while. Such a lovely area. Forgot to mention yesterday that, regarding the cruise control, it's retrofittable and not too expensive either.

Cornwall is heavenly, we cannot get enough of the place so enjoy Polperro, just another Cornish gem. Thanks for the info on the CC, the car could even have it, I need to ask. Compared to the option cost of Xenons it was a cheap box to tick.

The MCV does have a different clutch. I put a clutch in the Victory Blu one I sold a few months back and it's definitely different to a standard Gransport clutch as Autoshield had to order it in.

The car in question has ended on eBay so may have sold already. Still on AT but takes a while to remove an ad from AT.

Do you recall what was different Dicky? Did the transmission seem to operate similarly to a GS or do you think it was quicker?

Not noticeable to be honest. The car does turn in better and handling and body roll is very slightly improved. Fine margins but it is noticeable.

Thanks mate. They seemed to make some minor tweaks here and there but kept the changes quite hushed. The different clutch is an odd one though.

I am done with the procrastinating, just agreed a sale and paid a deposit. Now I am off to enjoy this lovely day.

Appreciate all the advice in this thread, without it I may have bought a 911

Hey Dicky,

For reference purpose, any chance you would have the part number for the clutch purchase - again never had come across that there was a difference.

I'll find out from Autoshield. Don't know myself I'm afraid.
