Anyone know how I can remove this from my QPV including disabling it and or total removal ?

Got a sneaky suspicion it's causing issues.

Cheers

Get Naxtrac to do it. Google their contact details. It's not generally a great idea to put detailed instructions on the removal of security devices on the interweb :)

Much appreciated. Helps if I spell it Nav Trak as well rather than Nav Trac. Throws up much better results !

Navtrak now disabled by the very helpful Tony from Cobra. He said the units can be in one of 4 or 5 different places depending on what serial number is on the unit (they have the serial nr on their database). Worth contacting Cobra to have yours disengaged before ripping the car apart as it may not be where you think !

Total cost = zero and a very pleasant chat with a guy who really knows his onions and loves his job.

Glad you are all sorted, that should be an end to your woes; assuming he did disconnect the backup battery?

Not had a chance to drive it yet, but the fuses were all pulled and the system disconnected.

No doubt my lights will all go off again, however, I am planning on checking all areas at the weekend for water ingress as they can also cause issues apparently. Would be handy to know where the main culprit control units are located if anyone knows ?

Check your footwells first. Classic area for ingress vie the pollen filter. That can play **** with the fusebox and the controls behind the HVAC which control all sorts of fun things.

The boot is another one. Whip the lining out and check the wheel well. Unlikely to cause too many electrical issues.

Both have been documented widley on here.

Pollen filter replacement and Leaky Boot are good search terms.

I bet they are all in the same place on a QPV. There's a special bracket for the kit, and a tightly integrated loom. I'm prepared to believe they are scattered around in the earlier cars, like the 4200 (well, I know they are!), but it seems unlikely there are massively different looms fitted to the QPVs.

Thanks all - will have a look in the footwells at the weekend. Boot well was bone dry. The NavTrak chappy was actually amazed at how dry it was and also commented on how good the condition of the boot panels were. Apparently most QPVs he sees have flappy panels in the boot.

Word of warning, you have to take the liner out of the boot floor to see if it's leaking. There's about 5 cm gap between the liner and the actual floor of the boot where the water tends to sit.

If he checked that, you're good :)

Yep - he took out the full linining and ended up with a plastic boot well. He did say that he sometimes drills holes in the boot well for QPV owners. He's done a lot of NavTraks for Maserati owners.

Will be taking up the front floor covers at the weekend to check if any water has got into any control units, or if there are any corroded/dirty/loose connections. Anything to be wary of ? Not sure what's under there, but will be interesting to have a gander.

Mostly steel and insulation. The carpet can be a bit stiff to get in and out, but it should be fine

Smashing - had the full interiors out of my Ghibli and 4200 Spyder back in the day so that I could ensure the carpets were properly cleaned, so shouldn't present too many problems.
