I had the same tyre issues on my Lambo and on my X5 in the same week!

Turns out it was due to me driving like a ****.

Hi Mav, how many miles had your Maser done when you changed the cats? I have added this onto the to-do list but my aux belt first, maybe in August I'll send you a PM for some pointers on this one :)

I think I'll leave my exhaust as it is, I just checked the news for mass heart attacks, it's vintage car day at Oulton Park , just started the car with slightly wider shoes on than normal not realising the edge of the welt was on the gas.

It started with a very loud rasp at 3000 revs making a number of old codgers jump quite a bit , oops :D

In that case, they weren't fine were they?! :D

What I ment to say was ,when I rremoved the secondary's last year the primary's where in tact , but when I replaced the lot with sport cats the primary's on one side had just started to break up lucky for me it went out of the back as there was no secondary's to stop it . Caught just in time !

Mav, I think I am going to get this done in July or August... do I just need to call Berkshire Garage or is there a little more to it?

Thanks

Thanks Mark

What are the options with the pipe swooping under the steering rack? Is it fully round or squished?

Will an "oval" section help derestrict it or is that the same as squished?

Mine is fully round, no squishing, there's plenty of room apparently.

Prepare yourself for some extra noise. Especially if you have a H pipe on already.

There is a slight hump up and over the drop curb/pavement in to my drive, I am worried about it scraping but the car is well clear at the moment. I will have to put it into position and check what the clearance is with the standards.

It has a X pipe already fitted, I'm looking forward to more sound and better throttle response... I'm just about getting used to how it drives now.

I wouldn't worry. It'll be fine.
