My GS has turbo kick :)

So this is what happened today; good acceleration until 6000 rpm and than the torque reduces like a limiter kicks in for couple seconds and slowly getting to 6200ish. And then with the turbo like kick rpm jumps to 6500-6700 and all is ok than. This happened at sport mode. At first the "slow down" warning came and of course I did so! The warning was gone in few seconds. Than pushed again few times and no warning sign but the strange behaviour continued. At final round, I heard few cycles of beeps repeating 5 times but no engine warning.

Slowly drove back to the garage and still wondering what the **** happenned.

I will connect tomorrow with the obd scan tool but have you had such experience on a CC / GS?

Thanks. US spec manifolds will be converted to EU spec hopefully next week. Secondary cats will be replaced with HJS 200 cell, best quality made in Germany and also used by Fabspeed. I purchased them at Greece.

One of the coils were replaced few weeks ago so that will be checked again. Good point.

No error codes stored in the ECU. Could the Ignition Coil related problems not appear on universal obd scanners? I have both Auterra DashdynoSPD and PLX Kiwi3 connected to "Torque" smartphone android application.

I would look at your cats then, I wouldn't start/drive it till you get it sorted.

Misfires not only store codes they also denote which cylinder it relates to.

Swap from US manifold to EU spec and changing the secondary cat to 200 metallic cat is on its way, hopefully this week. of course the connection of the secondary cat needs to be adjusted to match new headers. There's already a fresh thread on this with topic of Magnaflow cats.

I choose HJS and plan to keep the squished section as seems to have the best ground clearance. I still think 2 smaller diameter pipe would have been something Ferrari engineers could also easily thought of but they choose a more complex design. Of course I have the second opinion to my self that I may benefit from a more free flow design but the diameter of the Larini's don't seem to improve that much. I'll discuss with my exhaust specialist to see his view as he deals with exotic cars every day.

Opinions?
