There is some good stuff on there thanks.
The odds of winning aren't great, but it's for charity so not really the point I suppose.

Used to have this '67 Vox Startsream MkXII but stupidly let it go a few years ago, the built in effects were fantastic....

Made in Italy and shipped to the UK in '67, exported to the US in '68 were it sat virtually unused until a Vox collector brought it back to the UK in '96 which is when I bought it, it now belongs to one of the guitarists in The BrianJonestown Massacre. I want it back!

My son just got a 1992 white Strat. Needs a bit of TLC, at fettlers now...
My lad (who's stuff I've linked on here) got this last night, not sure what to make of it. Lava Records are real, have Lorde and Jesse J on their books.

WOW, very lovely.....I take it you play ?

Well.... Of sorts lol.
I used to be rhythm guitarist in a few bands in my teens, (and a little bit of drums) but work, life, moving away from band mates and having to give up 'smoking' due to working in the military etc... I kind of fell out of love with it.

Had a few attempts over the years to get back into it just at home, but lockdown gave me a bit more time, so have been picking it up occasionally again.

I was mainly into grunge back then, so have a '94 squire telecaster (upgraded pups and electrics) and a' 94 fender Jaguar (MIJ).

This time round, I'm wanting to learn more bluesy kind of stuff, mainly hendrix I suppose, so really wanted a Strat. I entered the raffle obviously not thinking I'd have a chance. Then a few days later a MIM Fender strat came up locally for a good price so my wife bought it for me for Xmas and I love it...... Then two days after that I won the USA strat  typical!

Lockdown has given lots the opportunity to do something that they always wanted to do. Gibson last year was on the rocks but this year there sales are through the roof and they say it's because of lockdown and people taking up learning to play.

Just stumbled across this thread. No idea how I missed it.

Played in several bands a long while back and still have a few guitars. Have recently started building my own which is very rewarding and quicker than restoring cars and bikes.

Here’s my latest build just started. Maple neck, walnut fretboard and spalted zebrano body (I think). I will make my own bridge and pickups when I get to that part.
