Hi guys not been on for a while, life has been manic...anyway i have a granturismo and i am getting fed up of the lower side skirts being pebbledashed all the time....Maserati do not do a set of mud flaps for this car, i wondered if anyone has any ideas or come across anything, ideally just for the front and discreet??

Otherwise its keep on painting, very costly and aggravating especially as Italian roads are not what they used to be, even in the North and every time i go the skirts get marked.

Please help if you can?
Thanks

I am going to investigate paint protection film. Harry metcalfe raised this paint damage on his gts and had the area repainted and film applied. I'm going to try and dig out the long term report as there were pics and I, like you am really annoyed by the peppering starting to happen on an otherwise immaculate car.

Any soft material will be noisy at high speed, and a hard material will catch on kerbs, speed humps and the likes...

Just a thought.

Very good point. Lotus can do it, my Elise had front mud flaps and no one has ever said they were ugly! Proper designed molded jobs supplied new fitted to all variants. If they didn't the sill would be gone in no time!

My Volvo c70 had nice discreet colour coded ones...guess finding the right profiles will be almost impossible.

They look pretty good but on balance it still looks better without. I hadn't considered the increased stone-chipping which would be caused by spacers. Worth thinking through before I finally get round to fitting some. In any case, like c4sman I'd opt for paint protection film.

Hi everyone thanks for all of the comments, yes noise, catching on kerbs etc and the look are all areas i have been grappling with too, i like the repaint and film protection idea however, at least that way its likely the that film protection will only need replacing every so often? Very interested to find out more details where and how Harry got his done of possible please?
