MSP Dash light

Hi All

My 4200 is showing a warning light for the MSP and ABS.

As this occurred after a flat battery, I am wondering if this is the issue. Is there any way to force a reset in the hope the error clears?

My alternative is a long drive to the nearest specialist.

Not likely to be just due to battery but could be. Any decent diagnostic should be able to switch the lights off, if they recur then specialist trip required.

My first 4200 did this a couple of times... but a rest and a battery reset always solved the issue.

Yes, there is a rotating knob just above the battery towards the rear seat.

Drop the driver side window slightly, as you could damage the seal if you open the door with no power.

Don't let the boot slam shut as sometimes its hard to open with the key.

Leave off for +15 mins the power back on, ignition on until all lights go out, then start without using the accelerator and leave to idle till cooling fan comes on... that allows all the ecus to relearn.

If it doesn't clear it, likely its ABS sensor which entails replacing the wheel hub as its part of this and can't be done separately.
