Hello all – hope you are all well. I'd like to thank you for your advice on the 3200, even if I haven't bought one, and hope that you enjoyed the Ghibli II feature that's in the June issue (it was positive...). The big group test with the Quattroporte V feature comes out next week – it prompted huge office debate, which you'll see in the feature.

Now we're after a 4200GT to be part of a cover feature we're aiming to shoot in the next two months. We're aiming for this feature to take place in Northamptonshire (precise location TBC), and will start at around 9am to 5pm. A journalist will get behind the wheel for driving impressions, so the car will be fully insured by our publisher. We'll refund your fuel costs and you'll be given a set of images for personal offline use, plus a free copy of the magazine.
Interested? Let us know via nathan.chadwick@bauermedia.co.uk

Thanks,

Nathan out should buy our 3200 it's got your name all over it!

I keep staring at the one on Mr Grace's site in the same manner as a St Bernard looking through the window of a butcher's shop. Alas I'm somewhat short...

I've also chucked a few pictures from last year's Silverstone Classic on our Facebook page if anyone's interested...

I doubt it. They did a feature on the GranSport in October last year. I have the magazine - it is the GranSport that I bought from Richard Grace in Sept 2016. And its a beauty. A stablemate for my 911 Turbo.

Very nice, it was only a small article on that particular car if i remember correctly.

Anyway a 4200 is close enough and the GS will no doubt be mentioned.

Regarding the GranSport – it's something I'd like to do but we've done a Quattroporte V pre-facelift, a 3200, a Ghibli II Cup, a Ghibli II 2.8 and a Quattroporte V facelift, and we've got another couple of features on the horizon so it may take time to get around to a full feature.
Cheshiremaserati – you've got a fabulous car there, deeply envious! Reminds me, I need another taste of 'limoncello'...

Nathan: Let me know when you want to review a Gransport. I would be pleased to offer mine for such a review.
It could make a good follow-on to the review on a theme of "we reviewed this example back in 2016 in the section on dealer cars and now review it again, this time after x years under new ownership since the last article was presented."

I am also happy to offer my 996 Turbo with the rare X50 factory option if you require an article on this car. Just serviced last week at OPC Chester and described by both the workshop manager and the technician who did the service as "mint" with no advisories and they went in to say "its very rare we see a 996 Turbo in such mint condition, don't sell it sir, that car is going to go up and up in value".

Also a low mileage with only 35k miles and I bought it 5 years ago at 22k miles.

Enough on that, this is a Maserati forum. But thought I'd mention it as a possibility fir a future article.

Having taken part in the Quattroporte V event a few months ago, I can say that it is quite a nice day out. The Modern Classics team are good guys, and they threw in lunch (well, a few crisps and a pork pie). I stayed for the day, and there was quite a lot of hanging about while the static photos were done, and while the guys took the cars off two-by-two for a road-test and photos, but I guess the other option is just to hand over the car for the day and go away somewhere.

I'm looking forward (with some trepidation) to the QP report coming out in the next few days.

Try to get a facelift to feature, then drive it back to back with a GranSport and tell everyone that they are the same, helping values a bit ;)

The QP provoked a lot of office debate – so there's two verdicts...

Will be interesting to read the QP article. It is not perfect but has so many pluses that others just don't have.

It's out tomorrow – here's a shot of the cover. I know there was some disquiet about the QP's positioning, but it is right near the masthead...

I will reiterate there are two opinions ;)
