I read an article about a guy who only buys cars with high mileage. he reckons he gets a good car for less money, and that in a modern car , modern engine, they are good for many more miles than previous generations of cars.
got me thinking , as I did'nt disagree with his logic.
I bought a new ford XR2 in 87. swapped it in 96 with 198k trouble free miles on It. I swapped it for another ford, 2.0 scorpio estate. I did 325k miles in this untill the gearbox seal went in 2002.
So, do we put too much importance on mileage ?
