Stunning car and a great colour. Must be Rame Ghibli???

Yes. Well, actually it's "Rame Metallizzato" (copper metallic). I think Rame Ghibli is almost the same, but was an option on more recent Maseratis - the name probably being a tribute to how amazing the original Ghibli looked in Rame Metallizzato.

It's a colour that changes hue in different levels of sunlight - sometimes bronze, sometimes burnt orange, sometimes highly reflective new copper, etc. I love it.

Glad to see you got the engine trouble sorted. It looked stunning at the Club AGM last June. Are you going this year? I'm talking the Ghibli this year.

Yes I'll be there. Haven't decided yet whether to enter the Merak or the Shamal - better pull my finger out and get my entry sent off!
The engine problem was basically sorted with a carb overhaul, new coil, HT leads, distributor cap, and fuel pump. Myles replaced a lot of fuel hoses while he was at it and cured a few other minor problems. There was a wheel bearing that was on the way out and the steering rack benefitted from an overhaul too - so generally a good recommissioning and she feel like new now. What a relief. Myles did a great job - I can't recommend his work highly enough.
See you in June!

Pass! I've done my hillclimbing days (including Prescott). Several seasons in the 90's with the Ferrari Owners Club - a 'highlight' was crashing my F355 on the 5km hill up from Ramsey on the Isle of Man - and I've moved on. From hillclimbing and from Ferraris! Masers have more class.
