I thought the early ones had the Citroen dash, not the SS which is what the bonnet is with the vent.

Quite a few lots were unsold or provisional on the hammer, and their results page suggests the Merak is still available at £50-60k.

It’s LHD. This is not the best place to be trying to sell this car. Get it registered in the EU and sell it there.
If it was RHD it would be more like £80k. Maybe more.

Interesting. I’ve never had a problem with a lhd italian car in the UK and it never occurred to me that it could make such a price difference with sports cars. I guess it makes sense to have some impact on price.

Been up for sale for a couple of years.

Looks nice, but I would never buy this era of car without a full inspection.

Same here. I think the lack of perceived suitability of driving a LHD car in the UK is largely psychological, just my humble opinion. I genuinely forget the Ghibli is LHD when driving it around and often go to get in the 'wrong driver's door' when using other vehicles. The only time it's ever annoying is if you aren't with a passenger and you need to put a ticket in a machine to exit a car park. Apart from that, Biturbos and Ghiblis in particular are just more valued in Europe and fetch a much higher price. Perhaps our European petrol-head comrades have excellent taste, or something... ;)

I have always struggled with the Merak, the rear seems not to have been finished.

Perhaps if the engine lid was in line with the "buttresses" like the Bora ?

Take those flying buttresses off and what do you have(?) … a Europa! In a way, they are a bit of design genius, making the rear end look a bit more finished (on the cheap!).

Speaking of which:

Lovely, but I don't think my old bones would appreciate it.

Mrs C had an LHD Sprint for some years, and I agree. In fact it makes some overtakes easier. Parking barriers are a bit of a PITA though
