Very sad indeed, I can recall when I very first heard that LP.
74 not a bad run! You don't think that when you are 70

Given that he was massively overweight for most of his life Geoff, I can remember seeing him in the early 80's and thinking he was going to expire on the stage! No less an artist for it, a voice that could go from grit to angelic in a beat...

Never been into him music but I could certainly see that he had talent in spades and quite a humourous guy when I saw him on interviews.

RIP Meatloaf.

Bat out of **** ….A complete master piece….the talent was Jim Steinman though and Mr Loaf was the voice which I was never a big fan of his voice but between the two of them and his stage presence what a record and performer and one that will always be a classic….RIP

Did anyone find out what he wouldn't do for love in the end? or will that go to the grave with him?

He says it in the song...even I know that...

Lie!

And I would do anything for love,
I'd run right into héll and back
I would do anything for love,
I'll never lie to you and that's a fact

RIP. A bit part of my teenage years too, albeit a couple of decades later than some (with the 2nd Bat Out Of **** in the 90s..)

The interview he did with Rolling Stone after Steinman passed is heartbreaking.

Anyone into rock in the 1970s owned bat out of **** even if they never bought another meatloaf album
RIP
Not a bad innings for a fat bloke though , they do say if you make it through your 50s you'll make 75 so only a year short
