Enzo is arguably prettier, but being a Maserati fan, if I could have onely one, I think it would be the MC12.

What happened to the the one that is no more, Adam?

Wasn't the MC12 quicker around the Top Gear track than an Enzo..?

Yes it was, by 0.1 of a second. I personally think it was a porkie because the Enzo had been at the top of the board for an age. SLR was top, then the Carrera GT then the Enzo.

Have you seen this video of an owner of an MC12 ..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCm31-SqIjk

Although fair play to him for using as its intended, bit mad to go on a track in sleet...

Why did you buy it?

"Because it's a Maserati. And Maserati has a bigger history than Ferrari"

Great answer.

Always loved this video.

A Man with his Priorities in order. Drive the bloody thing. Don't place it under a glass bubble in a marble garage.

No point in being the richest man in the cemetery. Kudos Frank.

I really like his style. Stacks of cash but knows how to enjoy it. A top chap with good taste.

Fantastic story Andy!

Can only imagine what that would have been like. And the sound the MC12 made.

Respect.

Off topic I'm afraid but what's the car in your Avatar Bell? Thanks.

Another car I wish I owned, but don't..lol.

The Alfa Romeo 8C. More or less same 4.7 V8 engine used in Maser Granturismo S.

Note to self. Must change avatar to actual ride!

More than just the engine that connects the car to Maserati - it was assembled by Maserati at their Modena plant.

Back on topic, Evans' MC12 is not the ex Frank Mountain car, from what I gather. Although, I do believe Mountain has suffered financially of late, which is sad to hear - the fella spent his money the way most of us probably would!

Indeed.

Incredible that car was even built given the opposition to it within certain sections of FGA.

Insider once said Montezemolo's reaction to seeing the 8C in the metal was simply

"Nice Colour". lol

True story.
