Hi

It's a presumption to assume that MC kit makes a car worth more as it will put a lot of people off. Why not buy the bits you want and add them to a standard car then take them off for resale?

Not sure about that BB....MC Sport line is abit diffent to normal tarting the car up...Most have been factory fitted....I must say a car with the black window surround instead of the chrome is more desirable to me I must say........But thats just my taste I suppose.

Think I said before it's the one thing the GT is crying out for....Far too much gap between the wheels and arch...Look forward to seeing some before and after once you have done the job...

Spacers and Springs are the first mods, most new GT owners go for, followed by some added volume.

Agree, better than standard but its the back......Still too much gap.....I take it your springs sorts that out Noor.....How is the ride after fitting..?

Indeed - Roughly a 30mm Drop at the Back and 15mm at the front. We can even get them made to custom ride heights if a customer wanted.

Handling is significantly improved and body roll significantly reduced, whilst maintaining a street worthy ride. Plenty of guys run them in the UK and plenty of testimonials on ML.

Hi SJC - Are you planning on using the car on a regular basis? I'm forever catching the front of the car / number plate on curbs and steep car parks. Worst still sometimes the underneath of the car. I would imagine if its lowered another 10mm it would be a nightmare.

Agreed carbon fibre looks great though!

Enjoy.

To be honest, and this is going to sound rediculous, but I don't know how much I'm going to use it! However, I have a Noble M400 ( and they don't get much lower than that!), and generally by using the 45degree angle/then straight method I haven't had any real problems.I appreciate however, that the GTS has larger overhangs.
Its just an itch I must scratch ( profusely).I'm not even a fan of big coupes,I got my deposit back on the GTR in 2009 when they first came over as it left me cold, the DB9 was soft and wallowy and useless rears seats, same for the XKR,(911's dont do it for me ( except the GT3's etc which don't have rear seats).
The Maserati made me feel special, the noise was special, the shape was special, the little intricate styling cues were special, and it passed the "did I look back" test several times over.It felt like it had been built by someone, not something ( I know thats not the case though!).It will be a millions miles off the M400 in grunt, grip, balance, rawness, will depreciate like a stone (the Noble hasn't dropped a penny in 5 years, and is also the best car I've ever owned bya country mile), but I will be able to take the wife and kids on a jaunt in it, instead of the wife's Discovery, or my Rover 75 barge!
Just got to be brave, patient and then bite the bullet !
Now about this MC exhaust??????????

I'm dreading that day. I avoid stuff if I think I'm going to clout it and am super ginger in car parks. I've not been over the A4 flyover thing by Fullers in Chiswick for example but sit at the traffic lights instead due to the width restrictions. Because the back of the car is taller than the front, I've a rule to reverse into parking spaces with kerbs instead of going in forwards.

Good point re parking.

Where you are on the exhaust depends on how you use your car. Mine is a DD so having a switchable choice is useful. Sometimes you just want to be below the radar!

Same with me! All of that and more.

Same here - mines a DD aswell, and the GTS Auto is perfect for me. The drivetrain is more suited to being a DD, aswell as the exhaust. The Valves on the Auto are not operated via the Sports button, but based on RPM, which is a perfect solution for a DD. I have installed a little mod to independently control the the valves but i seldom seem to use it, but its still handy to have.

Saw that on the FD website Noor. When the plip is off do the valves still open at 3000 revs in sport?

Thats right bob - when you manually close the Valves, they will still auto open at 3k. Its a requirement of the engine at high rpm to expel exhaust gases as fast as possible.

Found a couple...

Owned it nearly six years, utterly adore it. It's my second one, the first I sold through lack of use,and I regretted it the moment the bloke drove off my drive in it! Took me 9 months to find another good one,but alas with kids duties, although its done 33k miles now, it rarely ventures out. It's quite possible we'll never see the like of its type of car again unfortunately.
