Hi all,
I'm new here. Bought my first Maserati GT 18months ago. It was a 4.2 black with black interior, Skyhook and Bose. Loved it. Then made the mistake of test driving an MC Shift and it was all over. 3 months ago I managed to find a stunning 2010 MC Shift in Fuji Bianco with black leather and 34k miles on the clock. I bought without taking a second look and absolutely love it.
But.
Just taken it for a service and the brakes are worn. No sensor light on yet but Steve at SMDG near Dorking (seem very good) has said they should be replaced. He told me to brace myself before he let me know the cost. £650 per disc, plus £650 for the front pads. I couldn't believe it. I trust Steve when he says they need doing but is there any alternative parts for these or simply have to buy Maserati OEM?
P.S. it also has a clutch 70% worn and at £3k to replace including labour I'm weighing up leaving it for 6 months.
