Maserati UK "official"club. Anyone a member?

Hi All

Just wondered if anyone was a member of the Maserati Uk? If so is the Trident mag any good and what about the events?

I was a member when I had my Merak. Trident was very good, lots of interesting stuff, history interviews, event coverage. Only ever made one event, as I'm in Scotland, was well attended and organised. Was a few years ago, but would think it would be the same.

I joined, for a year.
Was expecting regional monthly meets, but no.
Offered nothing for me personally, unless you liked weekends away in nice hotels (£'s), and black tie dinners in London.
Problem being the small number of members, around 600, which makes regional area meets difficult with such small numbers in an area, I guess.

I've been a member for about 5 years. Bi-monthly news letters and a quarterly magazine, both of which are good reads.

I've been to the concours for the past three years and that's a good turnout and nice to natter, but other than a local midlands meet a few years ago, that's as much as I've attended.

There are usually about half a dozen organised meets (very well organised by all accounts) throughout the year including several UK based tours.

Worth it as far as I'm concerned, but it doesn't seem to be to everyone's taste. Horses for courses.

I know someone who joined when he had his Biturbo. Your description concurs with his. He went to a one or two of their dinners and really felt the generational gap.

There is much to like about the club. The magazines are good, and for such a small club it's surprisingly active, which means there are members who really do put themselves out to keep it interesting.

Sadly the impression of an inner circle of members is evident at the few events I've attended.

If only the social side of things could be linked into this forum. I've mentioned it before and I don't feel any differently now, if anything more so.
