I just came back from the states, and watched a French film on the plane called Intouchables. The film follows the life of a quadraplegic millionnaire in Paris, who ends up with a black guy from the streets as his helper. It's a superb film and if you get the chance, do watch it. The thing that really set me off, is there are a couple of scenes, where they take the Quattroporte out into Paris, including a scene, where he gets fed up of poodling along and belts the car through Paris at night. I couldnt find the clip on YouTube, but did find this one, where he is inroduced to the car. Have a watch!!

Avaialble for pre-order on iTunes US which indicates it should arrive here soon. I'm running a US account on my Apple TV so hoping I can watch it on there. Looks great!

Interstingly, the bit of the GTS pulling off and sliding in that YouTube was on a trailer during the BAFTAs - ****, it sounded good.

Update

Good to have you back Fred....fill us in.....:)

P

Been really busy with the business, travelling etc. Tried to get to the Detroit show (combined with business of course) to see the new QP, but ended up in Memphis and nearly bought a 2010 Challenger. My wife was with me and said I should, but I think it was a double bluff, so I didn't - DOH. Beast of car, but a bit trailer park (no offence to our US guys) when it came to refinements!! Still got the QP, and still enjoying it, especially with "that" button!!

Been invited to see the new QP in London in April - they're bringing in a couple of LHD models to look at. I'm not sure, it looks superb from the front, but the back end conjures up images of the Audi and the Jaguar XF. I know they're trying to increase the sales, but it's kind of neat having a car that you don't really see around a lot. One bit of good news, my wife is getting rid of her Porsche and is considering a Maserati Cabriolet. Is this a good thing? Your opinions please!!
