I hope not too, but how can a road be closed for two hours, when just three people had minor cuts and bruises?

That seems most unlike the Daily Mail's normal style of reporting. Anything involve a moderately nice car normally has an unresearched 6-figure price tag!

The Telegraph Article said:
According to its website, The Plough is an American-inspired bar that serves a host of international craft beers, an extensive cocktail menu and a selection of meals and snacks.

Well, that's good to know.

That headline had me worried for a moment. Our village pub is The Plough. And my wife doesn't drive any of our Masers. But if she did....

Typical shoddy Daily Mail reporting.

A GT is not a luxury car, its a supercar. Well it is as far as I'm concerned.

Wonder if the insurance company will take an offer on the Tridents....

It's an S too....or was. What a poorly written, repetitive article.

Moron reporters. I do wish they'd not so idly water down the value of our cars. That car is easily 100k fully spec'd.

Regardless, the front wasn't crushed beyond recognition at all. It looked perfectly easy to recognise, albeit unusual to find one propping up the bar in an American-inspired bar.

I coincidentally drove past this on Sunday. Maser nowhere to be seen. Merc still there - A class with AMG bodykit, the front was pretty smashed up but the inside structure looked pretty good - amazing how safety in these cars have improved over the years.

Agreed about the Daily Mail reporting but I didn't expect much more from a paper of that calibre...

So true. There was an article about Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger in a Maserati GranCabrio a while back. They incorrectly reported it being a GranCabrio MC, when it was either a base GranCabrio or a pre-facelift GranCabrio Sport. I (rather stupidly) wrote a comment correcting their mistake, only for an idiot to say that it was the MC and I didn't know what I was talking about!!! :banghead2: I tried to explain but he assumed that he knew better (despite me saying that I actually own a GranCabrio MC and have strong dealings with one of the biggest Maserati dealerships in Europe!!!)

Daily Mail is a cr*p newspaper, followed mainly by idiots! ...And before you ask why was I reading it then ;), I was sent the link by a friend who noticed the Maserati (and even she noticed that it wasn't the MC!)

Having said all that, I hope all those involved in the accident are ok. And yep, car safety has improved radically over recent years, with crumple zones really doing their job.
