Well, my 3200 GTA has gone in for a service at Dick Lovett Swindon and they have kindly loaned me a Ghibli, got to be honest, I didn't like them at first but having driven one, I have not stopped grinning all the way home. People stop and look wherever I was today, it sounds pretty good when the accelerator is stepped on, when in sports mode it is a totally different beast, sounds really good. Haven't even had a chance to use the flippy paddles yet, been no need, swift response whenever I have required it and although a diesel, I have to admit to being surprisingly impressed.

Looks are good, boot space not bad, cabin is a nice place to be, some uncomfortable elements due to my particular driving style, ie where I rest my arm but apart from that, really good. I think if I had the money, i would have one, however it is not a GT which would be my prime choice. Maybe when I am a bit older and the prices have dropped, I will definitely consider one joining the family.

Just thought I would share my thoughts.

Cheers

They are good cars despite what some on here (who have probably never driven them) say. I like both the Diesel and the Petrol engines and think the chassis very good too.

They are a great looking car..Saw a white one and blue one on the road today and they really do cut a dash.

I www a white one last week, loved it, lease deals seem to be around £600 a month which is comparable with an Audi Q7 but an F type is £66 a month more

Tough choice if you don't need 4 seats

Its also a very well made car. Ive had mine nearly a year now, have done 23k miles in that time, with zero warranty issues.. (there is a rattle from rear that only I can hear though lol)

A lot of people are coming round to them after the initial lukewarm response at launch. I'm sure this was due in no small part because of the fondness most people have of previous Ghibli models but these aren't half bad
