Maserati Coupè speedometer/ASR light/trip not playing!

Maserati Coupé cambiocorsa
Rosso Mondiale, 2002

I have a constant ASR off light on my dash, my speedo/odometer doesn't work and also my trip isn't working regarding MPG, Average Speed etc,
I can't turn the traction control on/off (ASR) with the button, I'm guessing the problems are related, I've had the dashboard out and tested, it works fine, I've also taken the bridge can out and that's also fine, could it possibly be a speed sensor? - but wouldn't this throw up a (ABS) or (EBD) fault, also would anyone know where the speed signal comes from? The (ECU) is getting a speed signal from somewhere, as when I plug in a obd scan tool it detects MPH, any experience with the Bosch 5.3 ABS/ASR module would be great?

Regards,

Kyle, Hants

Notice you are in the South. Why not take the car to Emblem in Poole for a Saturday Clinic. Its free and will let you know exactly what the issue is and what may need fixing.

This is best solution, a good drive through new forest then properly diagnosed at the end of it.

Or has it already been on diagnostics at a decent indy or MD and they could not find the fault???

I've booked myself in for the Saturday Clinic at Emblem, hopefully they can highlight any obvious problems and come up with some practical solutions, just changed both of my o2 sensors this weekend, engine roughing a little rough after - I guess this is the ECU relearning the trim.
Going back to the speedo, when I turn the ignition on the green ASR comes on, ABS, EBD and all the other standard lights, once they go off then NO ASR remains, once the car has started - I can't turn it off with the button, the speedo doesn't move at all, no speed sensor faults are registered - the trip data is also not winding up apart from the travel time.

I originally thought that, but I purchased another online - swapped it and the problem remained, the only difference was that it displayed Farenheight instead of Celsius on the temp display (dash), interesting thing was I couldn't change it via the infotainment system, (no trip data either). The ECU is definitely getting a speed signal from somewhere as I can see when using EasyMas software with the scantool. Does anyone know if there is a speed sensor on the transmission as in the Ferrari 360/F430

It seems the ABS sensors are fine, no error messages using the SD2, only a engine maintenance message so I'm guessing the module isn't communicating or it's fried, there's no ABS light on only the ASR as soon as the ignition is switched on, I will have to look at the wires and check continuity, if it's not that then maybe a new Bosch module.
