Maserati Centenary Trip

There is a lengthy thread some where on the disks, one of the more heated ones! I am not a personal fan of the drilled disks, and so i got Original Brembo (its a Brembo system) disks and had them grooved, and I have been extremely happy with the results. I have also fitted Goodridge flexi hoses, cutting the fluid volume and removing swelling and the brakes are quite nice now. PM me I can tell you where i got them.
Sorry for the off topic, Davy83, what kind of discs do you have(see avatar)?

I had a set of grooved and drilled discs, they were good, but the grooves do makes the brakes that bit noisier. The F550 discs from Brembo are great, drilled only and a reasonable price for the 3200/4200.

Thanks for clearing that, they look great!

I run a set of 550 drilled discs with FD pads and FD brake lines, so i'm happy for now.

I asked a contact at the Maserati factory about the plans for the Centenary. There has been no official announcement yet, but there is a dedicated team working on it. Apparently there will be special edition book and several events, so it seems sensible that we wait for the official news before making any plans for a trip.

I'm keen to go to the factory next year, but if at all possible I'd like it to tie in with an official centenary celebratory event.

Makes sense Ewan, let's see how it all pans out and see how much notice we get. Be prepared as the scouts say..... And watch this space.

I am up for this as well. Happy to (actually probably prefer to) ride passenger or be a driver, see how it works out.

Would be great to see what we could do after taking part in the Ferrari world record last year being one of 964.

That would be truly impressive. The more so if we relied on our sat-navs... I've heard that SM convoys can execute legendary in-formation three-point turns...

I have been in one of those 3 point turns at the top of Cheddar Gorge on a charity convoy.

Nikos, can you make it apparent that SportsMaserati.com want to attend in large number, that way you might get some luck....or I might end up with the horses head in my bed.
